[Abstract]:
The cemented carbide coating is a thin layer of wear-resistant TiC or TiN coated on the surface of the cemented carbide blade by a coating method such as chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition, or the like.
Because of its high hardness, strength and wear resistance, it is known as "industrial teeth" and can be used in the manufacture of cutting tools, tools, drills and wear parts, widely used in military, aerospace, drilling, Mining tools and other fields. However, the strength and hardness of cemented carbide cannot meet the development needs of modern industrial alloys at the same time, so coatings that improve the wear resistance of cemented carbides have emerged.

The role of the coating
The coating is mainly to further improve the wear resistance of the cemented carbide, but also to extend the life of the alloy tool, as well as:
1. Improve the performance of cemented carbide tools;
2. The need for high speed cutting and high speed machining;
3. The need for machining of difficult-to-machine materials such as aerospace heat-resistant alloys, composite materials, and hard materials.
